Rolls-Royce says it has not been contacted by Brazilian authorities

24 February 2015

Rolls-Royce says it has not been contacted by Brazilian authorities over allegations that it paid bribes there to secure oil industry contracts.

The accusations were made by a former executive of Brazilian state oil company, Petrobras, which is at the centre of a scandal involving allegations that companies paid billions of dollars to win work. Allegations against Rolls-Royce are said to involve payments of £65M.

Rolls-Royce has been reviewing its compliance procedures in the wake of allegations that the company was involved in bribery in China and Indonesia.
