REGISTRATION CLOSED Syed Rahman was a key speaker at the International Bar Association Asset Recovery Committee (IBA ARC) international webinar. The online event, “Forum shopping in the metaverse: where to litigate (or arbitrate) your next crypto asset clash’’, was held at 1pm UK time on May 6. It focused on a range of issues that are relevant to cross-border asset recovery and disputes and international, multijurisdictional enforcement. Syed was among a group of practitioners from the UK, US, Middle East and Asia who offered their insights and global perspectives. The webinar was designed to be of practical value to disputes, insolvency and asset recovery professionals, as well as to in-house counsel that have to deal with cross-border enforcement and members of the IBA and international disputes community. Syed’s fellow speakers were be Jeffrey Alberts, partner at Pryor Cashman (USA); Danny Ong, managing director at Setia Law (Singapore); and Sara Sheffield, partner at Charles Russell Speechlys (Dubai).
