REGISTRATION CLOSED Syed Rahman was a speaker at the two-day C5 Crypto and Digital Asset Fraud and Recovery conference. The event was held on June 13 and 14 at the Hilton London Kensington. It examined all aspects of crypto-related fraud and asset tracing. Syed was a speaker on the subject of crypto regulation on June 14. Under the title, “To Regulate or Not to Regulate: Is a One-Size-All Approach Right for the Crypto Sector?’’ he talked with fellow experts about the implications of the UK Treasury’s intention to bring regulation of crypto assets within the regulatory framework created by the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Other conference topics included whether crypto and digital assets should be viewed as protectable assets, the future of cryptocurrency, an examination of some of the most notable cryptocurrency-related scandals, the challenges of detecting fraud and tracing and recovering assets, and the legal duties of blockchain developers.
