The Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) recent conviction of a UBS compliance officer and her friend have escalated the regulator's convictions on its criminal insider dealing prosecutions by a third in number to 89% in the last five years.
Revised statistics confirmed by the FCA, show the regulator started nine such prosecutions in the last five years from 2014/15 until 2018/19 and succeeded in eight.
