With the Serious Fraud Office’s annual report having been published, City AM asked for Aziz Rahman’s thoughts.
Aziz said that with current SFO Director, Lisa Osofsky, set to depart in a matter of weeks, one of the most pressing matters her successor, Nick Ephgrave, needs to address is disclosure.
Aziz explained that the new Director, a former senior police officer, must know by now that the SFO has struggled with disclosure – struggles that have led to failed prosecutions.
He added that the new Director is coming to an agency that has been criticised for a range of shortcomings – and reversing this will be a huge undertaking.
