Chambers again ranks Rahman Ravelli as one of the best firms for global financial crime and asset recovery cases

The Chambers and Partners UK Legal Guide has once more classed Rahman Ravelli as an elite firm for financial crime and Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) cases around the world.

The just-published 2025 edition of Chambers classes Rahman Ravelli as a Band 1 firm for the 11th year in succession, highlighting its “strong team that provides a very high standard of attention to its clients."

It adds: "Rahman Ravelli are a class act. They've got a number of staff who really know their way around POCA, fraud and white-collar crime generally. They are a go-to firm."

Once again, the guide highlights the work of Rahman Ravelli’s founder and managing partner, Aziz Rahman, and partners Nicola Sharp and Syed Rahman.

Aziz Rahman is again named as a Chambers Star Individual for financial crime and is praised for his asset recovery work. Chambers calls him “a dynamic powerhouse of a solicitor’’, “a shrewd operator’’ and says he “is a shrewd tactician and has a good strategic understanding of what needs to be done to get good results."

Nicola Sharp’s financial crime and POCA work is commended. Chambers says she “has a sharp mind, is intelligent and hard-working, and has encyclopaedic knowledge’’ and is “superbly efficient’’.

The firm’s sanctions work also receives recognition from Chambers. It ranks Syed Rahman, saying “he knows all the legal and regulatory updates almost before they've happened’’, is “extremely knowledgeable about the legal issues’’ and “looks at matters with a creative and innovative lens." Syed is also commended for his financial crime work.

Chambers has already named Rahman Ravelli as an elite firm this year, in its legal guide for representation of high net worth individuals.
