Rahman Ravelli’s Josie Welland will be presenting a short film covering the main aspects of account freezing orders.
Josie, a Senior Associate Solicitor, is recording the video conference for the Law Friends Society. It will be made available from May 1, as part of the Society’s spring conference collection.
Her film will cover account freezing orders and account forfeiture orders. It will give viewers an overview of them as well as offering practical advice.
Josie will detail their increasing use and will provide viewers with statistics about their rise and the reasons behind them becoming more common.
She will also explain the law regarding the orders, explain the processes involved and outline the purpose of them.
As well as talking about how they work in practice, Josie will also address practical considerations. How to set aside an account freezing order and appealing against a forfeiture order will be explained, as will the procedure for seeking a variation of an order for legal expenses.
The Law Friends Society works with acknowledged experts in their field to produce training seminars to assist those working in the social welfare sector.
