The reasons why HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is raising more tax from rich individuals were detailed by Rahman Ravelli.
In an article published by Wealth Briefing, Rahman Ravelli cites statistics to illustrate HMRC’s recent record in this area.
They say this may be partly due to Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves’ desire to see HMRC bringing in more tax revenue, which has seen it given more resources to do this.
Rahman Ravelli outlines why HMRC is viewing high net worth individuals (HNWIs) as “the most appropriate subjects for scrutiny’’ and the methods it is employing to carry out this task. They also offer advice to HNWIs who may become the subject of an HMRC investigation.
