With the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) having produced its plan for 2025-30, Rahman Ravelli examine the regulator’s priorities.
In an article, which was published by Financial Reporter, Rahman Ravelli detail the FCA’s aims of acting as a “smarter’’ regulator that improves its processes and embraces technology, supporting sustained economic growth, helping consumers, and focusing on those who use their regulated status to perpetrate financial crime.
Rahman Ravelli emphasise that if the FCA does not come good on its priorities, “its failure will provide more ammunition for its critics – and they are already far from short of that.’’ They outline some of the regulator’s recent difficulties and concludes that “the FCA’s one overarching priority has to be to put right the wrongs – and stop new ones arising.’’
