With the government announcing a new investigations team to target those who made fraudulent gains during the Covid pandemic, Rahman Ravelli considered the scale of the problem.
In a piece that was published by Solicitors Journal, Rahman Ravelli outline the latest government plans and the efforts made so far to recoup money lost to fraudsters during the pandemic.
They makes it clear that those who have the task “now have a decent set of tools at their disposal’’ and the backing of a government that is keen to tackle the issue.
But they detail the amounts that were lost and emphasise that it remains to be seen how much of the money lost to fraud can actually be recovered.
