With a government-backed report by former judge Brian Leveson explaining how prosecutors can use generative AI to meet disclosure obligations, Law360 asked Rahman Ravelli for their assessment.
Rahman Ravelli have emphasised that AI could be most useful doing the "heavy lifting'' of menial, straightforward searches through mountains of material.
They explained: "In those areas where the issue in question is not too subtle or nuanced, there is a role to be played by AI to offer a more efficient and cost-effective means of reviewing documents in complex disputes.’’
Rahman Ravelli have said that prosecutors will be keenly aware that AI is not a solution to basic disclosure failings.
They added: "If a prosecution case fails because of an AI-related matter, the problem is entirely one for those prosecutors.’’
