West Yorkshire’s Rahman Ravelli Solicitors is in contention for a prestigious international legal award.
The Halifax-based firm, which also has offices in the City of London, has made the shortlist for the Corporate Tax Law Firm of the Year title in the Finance Monthly Law Awards 2013.
Judges for the awards said that Rahman Ravelli had made the shortlist, ahead of hundreds of competitors, for its “gifted and innovative’’ approach to the law.
The awards, organised by international corporate affairs publication Finance Monthly, aims to highlight the very best in the financial and legal professions.
Rahman Ravelli, which specialises in fraud, serious crime and business cases, received news of its nomination this week. Award winners are expected to be announced later in the year, once judges have completed their research into nominees and received client feedback on them.
Aziz Rahman, founder of Rahman Ravelli, said the nomination came as a surprise to the company; which has gained a reputation for handling some of the biggest national and international business crime cases.
He added: “We always make sure we give our clients the strongest, most proactive legal representation available and this has seen us regularly gain high rankings in national and international legal guides. But this nomination has come out of the blue.
“It is a pleasant surprise and it is especially pleasing to hear that one or more of our clients have nominated us, as it indicates a high level of satisfaction with our work.
“At Rahman Ravelli, our first and only priority is our clients. But if the dedication of our staff is noticed by awards panels then we are more than happy to receive a little praise. An award would be very pleasing recognition for the successes we have achieved.’’
