Rahman Ravelli’s Salomé Lemasson is taking up a role within the International Bar Association (IBA).
Salomé, who is the head of Rahman Ravelli’s EU Business Crime and Regulatory Practice Group, has been appointed as Rapporteur of the IBA’s Debarment and Exclusions Sub-committee of its Anti-Corruption Committee.
The Anti-Corruption Committee provides an international forum for private and public-sector practitioners to discuss anti-corruption legislation, case law, compliance practices, enforcement trends and policies and asset recovery issues.
Salomé said: “I was eager to help the IBA’s ongoing commitment to developing meaningful cross-border relationships. So to be given the opportunity to take up this appointment is, for me, very pleasing.
“I now look forward to putting to good use my experience and expertise, so that the sub-committee can continue its good work. I also intend to do all I can to help raise its profile in a number of jurisdictions – notably France, Germany and the UK – and in a number of legal areas.
The IBA, which was founded in 1947, is the leading organisation for international legal practitioners, bar associations and law societies; with 80,000 members from more than 170 countries. It provides assistance to the global legal community and helps influence international law reform and shape the future of the legal profession around the world.
