Syed Rahman has written a chapter about cryptocurrency for the just-published “CDR Essential Intelligence – Fraud, Asset Tracing and Recovery’’ guide.
The 2023 Commercial Dispute Resolution guide includes an expert analysis chapter by Syed, entitled “Cryptocurrency fraud and asset recovery’’. It is the third consecutive year he has been asked to be one of the guide’s expert contributors.

His chapter explains how those who have lost assets to cryptocurrency-related fraud should set about trying to regain them. Syed outlines the strategies that can be employed, the legal applications that are available to be used and the actions that can be taken after such applications have been made.
He also writes about the most notable case law regarding attempts to regain assets lost to cryptocurrency fraud.
