Syed Rahman has written an analysis of cryptocurrency for this year’s CDR Essential Intelligence – Fraud, Asset Tracing and Recovery.
Syed’s chapter in the Commercial Dispute Resolution guide, entitled “Cryptocurrency fraud and asset recovery’’, details recent cryptocurrency developments, the risks associated with it and the techniques that can be used by those who have lost assets to crypto-related fraud.
It is the fourth year running that Syed has been asked to be an expert contributor to the guide.
His chapter explains the legal applications that are available to be used in cases of crypto-related fraud and the actions that can be taken after such applications have been made. It also covers the most significant case law relating to attempts to regain assets lost to cryptocurrency fraud and efforts by authorities in the US and UK to tackle crypto-related criminal activity.
