Syed Rahman has again contributed a chapter on cryptocurrency to the “CDR Essential Intelligence – Fraud, Asset Tracing and Recovery’’ guide.
The just-published 2022 Commercial Dispute Resolution guide includes an expert analysis chapter by Syed, entitled “Cryptocurrency fraud and asset recovery’’. It is the second year he has been asked to be an expert contributor to the publication.
In the guide, Syed details some of the most recent developments regarding cryptocurrency. But he also emphasises the risks associated with it.
His chapter explains how those who have lost assets due to cryptocurrency-related fraud should set about trying to regain them. Syed details the strategies that can be employed, the legal applications that are available to be used and the actions that can be taken after such applications have been made.
He also explains the most notable case law regarding attempts to regain assets lost to cryptocurrency fraud.
