Rahman Ravelli assesses HMRC’s tax evasion problem
With HM Revenue and Customs’ efforts to tackle tax evasion being criticised by the Public Accounts Committee, Rahman Ravelli assessed the situation.
In an article that was published by Taxation, Rahman Ravelli detail the HMRC shortcomings identified by PAC, which include a lack of a clear tax evasion strategy and inadequate collaboration with other public bodies.
Rahman Ravelli cite statistics that support PAC’s criticisms and says that HMRC “appears unable to recognise the blind spots that appear to be hampering its effectiveness.’’
Their voices concern that HMRC is failing to meet expectations.
